Gica Hagi Best Soccer Player Ever

Gica Hagi - "The King" When you say Romania you say Gica Hagi, when you say the Romanian national team you say again Gica Hagi, when you travel in a foreign country, the first thing that comes to you saying foreigners is Gica Hagi. Gica Hagi (real name Gheorge Hagi) is a legend without any doubts.





He is known also as The Maradone of the Carpathians for his talent and considered no less than a hero in both Romania and Turkey. He was born on 5 February 1965 and started playing soccer/football at 13 years at the Constanta Football Club.

Furthermore he evolved at precious football clubs like: Steaua Bucharest, Real Madrid, Barcelona or Galatasaray Istanbul. He showed great passing skill, good ball control, but he amazed through his long passing. All of this positioned him nearby best middle fielders in Europe of 1980s and 1990s years. He was entitled as the player of the year for six times in Romania and named for his activity the Romanian football player of the century. He played for the Romanian national team in three World Cups in Italy'90, USA'94 and France'98, as well as in three European Football Championships in France European championships '84,'96 England, Belgium and the Netherlands in 2000. He achieved a total of 125 selections for Romanian national team and scored 35 goals, being ranked first.

Hagi is one of the few football players to have played for both rival teams Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. In March 2004, he was named listen in the top 100 football players of all time by Pele occupying position 35. For his overall activity, Gheorghe Hagi has been declared the best Romanian player of all time and is called "The King".

After ending his career as a player in 2001, he trained Romanian national team, Politehnica Timisoara, Steaua Bucharest, Bursaspor and Galatasaray. Gica Hagi is the top soccer player ever.
