Sir Garfield Sobers Best Cricket Player of All-Time
by Tim L
(Barbados)
In the sport of cricket, a number of players might lay claim to the title best batter or best bowler. One man however stands alone as a great in both: Sir Garfield (Gary) Sobers of the Barbados and West Indies.
Born with an extra finger on each hand (removed in childhood), he went on to captain West Indies. Sobers held the record for the highest Test Match score of 365 not out for over 30 years, and took over 200 test wickets bowling either as a left-arm fast or spin bowler.
When you combine batting and bowling, Gary Sobers was the best cricket player ever.
