LeBron James Should Go To The Dallas Mavericks !!

by Brandon
(Louisiana)

You make the point that LeBron should go to a legendary franchise like Chicago, but what did the Bulls do before Michael Jordan? Not a damn thing. You cannot even begin to put them in the same category as the Lakers and Celtics. Teams with multiple stars over many generations are legendary -- LA and Boston will have 33 championships between them in two weeks.

And the statement about Dallas lacking hometown charm and authenticity - really? Dallas is a sports town much like Chicago. I'm not going to even begin the Cowboys argument. Just listen to their local sports radio station 1310 The Ticket for five minutes and you will begin to feel the energy. Dallas also happens to be the fourth largest metro area in the U.S. behind NY, LA and Chicago. I don't think you can say it would lessen his legacy by playing here and winning multiple titles.

Lastly, I am not convinced the Bulls with LeBron are the best team in the league. The Lakers would most certainly still beat them in a 7 game series. On the other hand, there is no argument that Dallas would be the best team in the league with a starting lineup of Kidd, Roddy Beaubois, LeBron, Dirk, and Haywood. More than likely they would give up their expiring contracts (Butler, Barea, Stevenson) and picks to Cleveland. But with bench players like Terry, Marion, and a free agent center with the MLE (Shaq anyone?).

Are you kidding me? Who could beat them?
