Best All Time Soccer Team

The best soccer/football team of all time is Manchester United. I have been a supporter for many years. The year they won the treble in 1999 was one of the glory years. The treble three that was the FA Cup, the champions league and the Barclay premier league.

The champions League was played against Bayern Munich and Manchester United beat them by 2-1. The goals were scored by Ollie Solscher and Teddy Sheringham. What a year that was.

Manchester United has always been a top team; run by Alex Ferguson since 1986. Their most recent win is the premiership and Carling cup which brings them to the end of another good season.

The recent trade/sale of Ronaldo is a sad loss but when a player wants to leave there is not a lot anyone can do, but the club got good money for him. Alex Ferguson has always picked a good team; rarely has Manchester United not done well.

The saddest moment in the history of the Manchester United team was the Munich air disaster in February 1958 when eight lives were lost. The plane they died in was trying to take off in a snow storm, but sadly did not make it. Sir Matt Busby and Bobby Charlton were two of the survivors, Bobby Charlton is still with us and is seen at many Manchester United games.

Another great player is the well known George Best who played for Manchester United from 1964- 1973. George Best helped Manchester United win the European league in 1968. In 1965 and 1967 George Best helped Manchester United win the first division as it was then called. Sadly he has now died but will never be forgotten as one of the great players.

In the 1980s I watched Manchester United play live at their ground and what an atmosphere it was. Now, you have to sell an arm and a leg for a ticket, that is how expensive it is to watch a live football game.

Carlos Tevez who is on loan to the Manchester United club may also be leaving, but the club is now looking to sign players for the next season. Let's hope they are good footballers and bring lots of goals and wins to the club and the glory of Manchester United Soccer/Football continues.
